PMHS-USA supports educational programs that strengthen health knowledge and capacity both in Kenya and in the United States. In western Kenya, these efforts include training opportunities at Maseno University in Kisumu and community education programs across Siaya County. Activities focus on pediatric and adult infectious diseases, with opportunities available for learners at all levels through coursework, clinical rotations, and research. Community programs provide practical education on sickle cell disease, malaria prevention, WASH practices, and the early warning signs of anemia and other infectious diseases, using easy-to-understand materials distributed directly to families.

In the United States, PMHS-USA actively supports global health education through the University of New Mexico Center for Global Health. This includes participation in the HBNU Fogarty Global Health Training Program and the Infectious Disease and Inflammation Program (IDIP), which pair trainees with mentors and connect them to a broad network of institutional partners in Kenya, Ghana, Colombia, Germany, and across the U.S.

PMHS-USA also supports public awareness and education efforts in New Mexico, helping residents understand infectious disease threats such as West Nile Virus and other communicable diseases.
